THE SIMPLE FACTSTM... According to research and statistics compiled by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), there were approximately 4,750,000 people injured in passenger vehicle accidents involving auto, cars, trucks, 15/16 passenger vans and Sport Utility Vehicles (SUVS) in the United States between 2005 and 2006.
In 2005 alone, over 39,250 people were killed in passenger vehicle - cars, light trucks, vans and sport utility vehicles (SUV) - related accidents.
In 2006 alone, statistics show that over 38,640 people were killed in passenger vehicle - cars, light trucks, vans and sport utility vehicles (SUV) - related accidents.
In 2007 alone, statistics show that over 37,245 people were killed in passenger vehicle - cars, light trucks, vans and sport utility vehicles (SUV) - related accidents.
The numbers and claims above are not encouraging. In addition, rollover accidents, especially in 15/16 passenger vans, are becoming more common.
